Canicule Buddy Privacy Policy

Canicule Buddy is a heat-safety tool for Paris. We collect as little data as possible and we are upfront about what we do with it.

What we collect

• Location: Your location is used only to show nearby fountains, cool places, and shade. In the MVP it stays on your device. We do not send it to our servers.
• Weather: We fetch public weather from Open-Meteo using your approximate location.
• Impact stats: Missions completed, fountains verified, and places shared are stored locally. If you sign in, they can sync to Firebase Firestore under your account.
• Account info: If you sign in with Apple or Google, we store your UID, display name, and email (if shared). We never see your password.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Third-party services

Open-Meteo and Paris Open Data are used for weather and public places. Firebase Auth and Firestore are used only for optional account features.

Your choices

You can use the app without signing in. You can delete your account from the Profile screen at any time.
