Common questions

• Why does the app ask for location? We use it to show the nearest fountains and cool places. Location stays on your device in this version.
• Can I use the app offline? Yes. Weather and place data are cached. The app falls back to a local list if the network is unavailable.
• How do I verify a fountain? Open the Survival Map, tap a fountain, then tap "Verify This Spot" in the detail sheet.
• Is my data synced? Only if you sign in. Local stats are always stored on this device.

Canicule Buddy supports heat safety but does not replace emergency services. If you or someone else is in danger, call local emergency services immediately.
